LOGAN, Ohio -- A former Logan-Hocking School District employee was in court Wednesday on rape and gross-sexual imposition charges.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Morgan Monroe is facing rape charges, accused of assaulting victims on his school bus.
Monroe was charged with two counts of rape and five charges of gross sexual imposition in April.
According to officials, the alleged incidents occurred in his home and on school buses and do not involve students in the district but Monroe’s relatives.
He attended his pre-trial hearing Wednesday.
Monroe has been released on bond. He was in the Logan-Hocking County Jail on $50,000.
Prosecutors told NBC 4 there was some talk of negotiation, which must be complete before his next court appearance which was set for Thursday, July 9.
Monroe worked as a full-time bus driver for the district for 15 years before he retired.
After his retirement, he was then rehired as a substitute part-time bus driver and part-time janitor.
