COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Saturday, there was a very special ceremony held for graduates here in Central Ohio…not for students, but for canines. The Canine Companions for Independence held its 83rd graduation on Saturday. Fifteen dogs were matched with their new owners. The dogs were placed with people with disabilities. They will help the people perform daily tasks making them more independent. Dogs from this particular class went to owners from 14 different states.
