COLUMBUS, Ohio -- More and more students are threatening each other on social networking sites like My Space and Facebook, experts say.
Some school resource officers monitor social networking sites looking for cyber bullies.

Dorothy Riggleman says her daughter struggled with Facebook messages sent by schoolmates a couple years ago. She now has a spy device on her home computer. Once the word got out about the device, the messages stopped immediately.
Police encourage parents to monitor their child's online activity, including profile pages. Police also urge parents to call the child's school if a serious threat surfaces.
Columbus police Officer Larry Howell says he hears about threats on social networking sites. He says students sometimes threaten to beat up one another online and are much more apt to make cyber threats than in person.
Last week, Upper Arlington Police investigated a case of a student who received a threat via Facebook.
In May 5, police went to Hastings Middle School because a student had created a fraudulent Facebook page in the name of another student. The school decided to handle that incident internally.
