LANCASTER, Ohio -- Efforts to save the Fairfield County Fairgrounds' 101-year-old grandstand seemingly are working.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
The Fairfield County Fair Board and residents who collected pledges for the "Save the Fairgrounds' Old Grandstand Fund" reached an agreement.
The fair board said the committee must collect the $100,000 worth of pledges in cash by Tuesday, June 16, 2009.
The money was to be used to bring the structure up to code, but it still will be closed to the public.
