COLUMBUS, Ohio -- It's the end of a very long battle for neighbors in Blendon Township.
After years of watching a rundown home on Makassar Drive get increasingly worse, it met its doom on Wednesday.
Crews brought the home down with a few strokes from a crane.
The neighborhood association leader was front and center during the process, earning the nickname "bulldog" because of her willingness to mix it up with township trustees.
Her advice for others living with eyesore homes is to be a pest, find like-minded individuals and go to meetings where government officials have to listen to you.
She said after years of doing that, neighbors now have peace of mind that a dangerous home in their community is no more.
