AKRON, Ohio -- An Ohio man has been indicted in the deaths of his mother and brother, whose bodies were found buried behind their burned-out home in an upscale Akron suburb.
A Summit County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 39-year-old Michael Knudson on charges of murder, aggravated arson, evidence tampering, abuse of a corpse and domestic violence.
His 64-year-old mother, Patricia Knudson, and 42-year-old brother, John Knudson, suffered fatal blows to the head and neck. Their bodies were found six days after fire destroyed their foreclosed Hudson home on April 5.
Defense attorney Donald Hicks says his review of the evidence is still under way and that it's too early to comment on the indictment.
