COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A woman was dragged across a Southwest Side grocery parking lot while she tried to keep a grip on her purse, authorities said.

Kimberly Adkins was loading groceries into her vehicle at the Kroger in the Georgesville Square shopping center at about 12:25 a.m. Thursday.
She was approached by a male who grabbed her purse and threatened her to force her to release her grip, CPD said in a report.
When Adkins refused to let go, the suspect allegedly knocked her to the ground and dragged her across the parking lot until the straps of her purse broke.
The suspect was described a white male in his early 20s who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and has brown hair.
A white female with a ponytail, who was wearing red pants and a white T-shirt, entered the UDF at 3555 Broadway St., in Grove City, at about 12:51 a.m. Thursday.
CPD said the female made a purchase with Adkins’ stolen credit card.
