COLUMBUS, Ohio – Williams Road will be closed for most of the day due to a semi truck accident.

The incident occurred before 5:30 am Sunday when a semi truck struck an electric pole. The pole fell on top of the semi truck and many power lines were covering the street.
Columbus Police say Williams Road will be closed between Groveport Road and Alum Creek Drive for much of the day.
Power is out to many in the area. AEP is at the accident scene working to restore power.
The driver of the truck was able to exit the vehicle safely.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
