COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police continued to investigate after a 6-year-old boy was shot in the chest Tuesday afternoon.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
The boy was inside a residence on the 100 block of South Champion Avenue with family members.
At about 4:39 p.m., an unknown suspect fired a shotgun from inside the residence, according to a police report.
The round went through an interior wall and struck the victim, causing minor injuries.
The boy's father took him to Nationwide Children's Hospital at about 4:40 p.m., police said.
The boy remained in stable condition.
Police questioned the boy's father.
Columbus police said the investigation was ongoing.
No charges have been filed currently.
