HILLIARD, Ohio -- Sophomore Christy Showalter is in a great place right now.
At Bradley, she is first chair in the first violin section in symphony orchestra.
Showalter also participates in the Columbus Symphony Cadet Orchestra where she is also one of the best. In addition to that, she is third chair in the South-Central Regional Orchestra, which also qualifies her to be a part of the first violin section in the Ohio All-State Orchestra.
Each of the orchestras required an audition, which includes a judging panel.
“I am very proud of her. She worked hard to get in. It is a great honor for the Bradley Orchestra," Bradley’s Orchestra Director Sarah Robinson said.
Many orchestra students are excited for Showalter.
“I think that it’s amazing and super epic. It just shows how much hard work she’s put into music, and we are all incredibly happy for her," freshman Abby Goodhart said.
“I’m excited to meet new people. I think it will be fun to play with other people who take their instruments seriously," Showalter said about being in the All States.
