COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A suspect dubbed the "Baby Blue Bandit" robbed the same bank for a second time in six days, according to police.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
A man pretending to talk on his cell phone entered the Cooper State Bank, 3245 N. High St., at about 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities said he handed a teller a note that said he was robbing the bank and would kill the teller if she did not give him money.
Although no weapon was observed, the teller gave the suspect money from her drawer.
The suspect took the money and fled the bank westbound, police said.
The suspect was described as a black male who is in his 30s. He is 6 feet 1 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark, stocking cap; beige, zippered sweater; blue jeans and dark shoes.
Law enforcement originally dubbed the suspect as the Baby Blue Bandit after he allegedly robbed the same bank at about 4:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, wearing a distinctive baby-blue colored hat.
Witnesses who were present during both incidents said they believe the same man robbed the bank both times.
The robbery was the city’s 35th bank robbery in 2009.
