COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A man from Ecuador was killed in a crash Thursday night.
The crash occurred at 10:52 p.m., according to Columbus police.
Thomas Dematteo, of Grove City, was driving a 2001 GMC pick-up truck northbound on Georgesville Road from Parkwick Drive.
At the same time, Luis Garcia, of Ecuador, was driving a 2001 Ford pick-up truck on a gas station parking lot at 1240 Georgesville Road.
As Garcia exited the parking lot, he failed to yield to Dematteo's vehicle, resulting in a crash.
Garcia and his passenger, Dawn Blazer, of Columbus, were transported to Mt. Carmel Hospital West.
Garcia, 29, was pronounced dead at 1:20 a.m.
