Law enforcement in Ohio and Kentucky are currently looking for a man believed to be responsible for at least seven armed bank robberies committed in the two states between September 2008 and October 7, 2009.

The man, dubbed the I-71 Bandit because his robberies initially seemed to run along Interstate 71 in Ohio and Kentucky typically enters the bank, produces a dark-colored semi-automatic pistol, tosses some type of bag to employees and orders them at gunpoint to put "large bills" in the bag. The man then typically flees the bank before police arrive.

He has generally been described as a white male, in his 40s or 50s, 6 feet tall with a medium build. He has a mustache and is seen wearing a baseball cap or hooded jacket and sunglasses.

Below are details of the previous robberies:

• October 7 -- 10:25 a.m. -- Chase Bank at 1001 West Main Street in Troy, Ohio
• July 31 -- 10:05 a.m. -- PNC Bank at 3023 Dixie Highway in Edgewood, Kentucky
• May 14 -- 4:19 p.m. -- Chase Bank at 806 W. National Road in Vandalia, Ohio
• February 13 -- 9:53 a.m. -- Chase Bank at 9600 Linn Station Road in Louisville, Kentucky
• December 5 -- 6 p.m. -- Chase Bank at 8632 Beechmont Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio
• October 17, 2008 -- 2:34 p.m. -- Huntington Bank at 734 Ohio Pike in Cincinnati, Ohio
• September 8, 2008 -- 3:05 p.m. -- Chase Bank at 9600 Linn Station Road in Louisville, Kentucky

Anyone who recognizes the man should immediately contact any of the local police agencies involved in the investigation or the Dayton Office of the FBI at 937-222-7485 or Cincinnati Office at 513-421-4310.

There is a reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of this individual.
