COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police are asking for help locating a suspect in connection with the attempted robbery of a Family Dollar store in early November.
According to Columbus police, a suspect entered the Family Dollar on Sullivant Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. and approached an employee in the back office area.
The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money.
The store employee did not believe the handgun was real and told the suspect he was being videotaped and needed to leave.
The suspect then left the store without obtaining any money.
The suspect was described as a black male, 6 feet tall, between 210 and 215 pounds with short, black hair. He was wearing a black hooded jacket with fur around the hood and had raised velvet letters.
