COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police are asking for help locating a suspect in connection with the attempted robbery of a Family Dollar store in early November.

According to Columbus police, a suspect entered the Family Dollar on Sullivant Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. and approached an employee in the back office area.

The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect then left the store without obtaining any money.

The suspect was described as a black male, 6 feet tall, between 210 and 215 pounds with short, black hair. He was wearing a black hooded jacket with fur around the hood and had raised velvet letters.

Anyone with information is asked to call Columbus police at 614-645-4665 or Crimestoppers at 614-645-TIPS.
