Pantries Team Up To Provide Thanksgiving Dinners

»  Comments | Post a Comment

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, some still struggle with finding where their next meal will come from.

Local food pantries said their numbers served have increased since June, and many of the families or individuals are new clients.

Volunteers of America teamed with many local groups Monday to bring in more than 200 turkeys, pies, and bread in preparation for the more than 2,500 meals to be served in Columbus for Thanksgiving.

Local pantries still need donations. In Clintonville, the Beechwold Community Resource Center is trying to collect turkeys to hand out to local families.
