COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The state watchdog has found that one state Department of Transportation employee ran his private business on state time while another made excessive personal phone calls.

Ohio Inspector General Tom Charles found Tuesday that transportation technician Roland Ladipo ran his personal real estate business on 560 hours of state time, representing $29,993 in salary and benefits. Charles also found that traffic engineer Albert Antoine made 110 hours of personal calls on state time, representing $6,507 in salary and benefits.

The report says Ladipo admitted to investigators he was making calls for his personal business on state time.

The report has been submitted to the state transportation department and the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office for further review.
