COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A police officer was indicted Tuesday, accused of robbing an exotic dancer at gunpoint.
The woman said she went to the home of 26-year-old Reynoldsburg police Officer Donald Frick in late October after she was hired to perform some type of private dance.
The dancer claimed Frick paid her $150, but after he learned the exchange would be just a dance and nothing more intimate, prosecutors said he became violent.
The dancer, 21-year-old Robin Bruce, called people who were outside waiting for her in their car and they removed her from the location.
Frick is charged with one count of aggravated robbery, one count of robbery (a second-degree felony) and one count of robbery (a third-degree felony).
Officials said there are multiple robbery charges because there are different ways to commit a robbery and each method involves a separate count.
The officer is on administrative leave from Reynoldsburg.
He has been a street officer since 2006 and has had two accidents since being on the force. Other than the accidents, his record is clean.
Frick is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 30 for an arraignment.
