DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio -- Deputies continued to search for two male suspects after one of them shoplifted items and another struck an employee who was trying to stop them.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

The Delaware County sheriff’s office continued to search for two male suspects after an incident at the Giant Eagle at 4000 W. Powell Rd. at 11:32 a.m. Wednesday.

An employee noticed a man leaving the store with a basket of items and getting into a waiting vehicle, according to Delaware County Sheriff Walter L. Davis III.

The employee attempted to stop the vehicle by jumping on the hood of the car. The driver did not stop, Davis said.

The two men fled the scene in a brown, four-door Pontiac Bonneville.

Adam B. Harrel, 28, was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries to his leg.

Sheriff’s investigators determined the getaway car was waiting near the front entrance of the store while the passenger went inside to shoplift.

The sheriff's office asked information with information on the crime to call 740-833-2817.

Both men could face multiple charges, including robbery.
