COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A 17-year-old male was shot at a COTA bus stop on the city's North Side Thursday.

Columbus police were called to the area of McGuffy Road and East Hudson Street on reports of a shooting at about 10:45 a.m.
A COTA bus was traveling southbound on McGuffey Road when it stopped at the bus stop at East Hudson Street.
Three high-schoolers, who were getting off the bus, got into an altercation.
Shots were fired.
One victim was struck by the gunfire.
The bus driver hit the panic alarm and called for law enforcement.
The victim was transported to OSU Medical Center Main in serious condition. The victim had a gunshot wound to his right upper leg.
The victim was in stable condition at the hospital shortly before noon.
Columbus police continued to search the area for the two others who may have headed down Loretta Avenue.
McGuffy Road was closed for a block or so in either direction for investigation.
No more immediate information was available.
