Fire In High Rise Apartment Bedroom Injures 1

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday night, Columbus Division of Fire was called to the Sunshine Terrace Apartments at 272 S. Gift St. on a report of a high-rise fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found smoke and some flames coming from the window of an apartment on the sixth floor.

The fire was quickly contained to the bedroom of the apartment.

The resident of that apartment was taken to the hospital. The extent of his injuries were unknown currently.

The Red Cross was called to the scene.
