COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police continued to look for a suspect who allegedly assaulted and tortured a woman for almost five hours early Monday.

Damon Lamont Walburg, 44, became angry when his girlfriend, Detra Ann Smoot, attempted to leave him.
Walburg assaulted 38-year-old Smoot by tying her hands behind her back and kicking her repeatedly in the back, stomach and head, according to police.
Police said Walburg tortured her by electric shock at approximately five times. Police said he used live wires from an electrical cord to shock her on the face and head.
The alleged assault lasted for almost five hours at a home on the 2200 block of Ridgeway Avenue.
Walburg was arrested Thursday after a warrant was issued on felony charges of kidnapping. Walburg was arraigned in Franklin County Friday, and his bond was set at $500,000.
