COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin returned to Ohio Friday.
She returning as a new author to the Ohio region where she made her debut as a national candidate.
Palin signed copies of her book, "Going Rogue," Friday afternoon in the Cincinnati suburbs. The store expected more than 1,000 people to turn out.
A second book signing was held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Borders bookstore at 6670 Sawmill Rd.
People started to line up around Borders Thursday night in anticipation. Friday morning, the line was wrapped around the shopping center where the bookstore is located.
People who presented a receipt and Palin's book received a colored wristband that allowed them to have Palin sign the book later Friday evening.
The color of the wristband determined when they should have returned to the store to line up for the signing.
The store originally planned to hand out 1,000 wristbands but cut back to 500, based on Palin's signing Thursday in Indiana.
A customer told NBC 4 the bookstore said Palin limited the number of signings.
