LANCASTER, Ohio -- Authorities continued to investigate the death of a 4-month-old infant who had been on life support since Halloween night.
The Lancaster police, Fairfield County Children Services and Nationwide Children's Hospital officials continued to investigate the death of 4-month-old Bryson Mershon.
Eric Hopkins and Kristina Mowery contacted emergency services stating the Bryson was found unresponsive in the Lancaster home on Halloween night.
He was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital where he was found to be brain dead.
Hospital officials said he suffered multiple, nonaccidental, fatal injuries.
Bryson died Thursday after he was taken off life support.
The baby was placed in the care of Hopkins and Mowery since birth by Fairfield County Job & Family Services.
Authorities continued to investigate Bryson's death. No charges have been filed currently.
