COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Two bystanders were shot after gunfire erupted during a fight in an East Side neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

According to Columbus police, the shooting incident occurred after a physical altercation between several males in the area of East Main Street and Kelton Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
One of the men involved in the fight fired a firearm multiple times, striking at least two individuals who were bystanders and not involved in the altercation, according to a police report.
Two victims, 40-year-old Fred Brooks and 20-year-old Dejon Skelton, were transported to local hospitals in stable condition.
Columbus police continued to investigate the shooting.
No suspects have been named at this time.
