COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Authorities were called to the city's Northeast Side Monday after a suspicious package was found.

Columbus fire and police were called to the area of Walford and Fenton streets near the old Northland Mall before 11:45 a.m. on reports of a black box found in the road.
The CFD bomb squad was called to the scene.
The bomb squad detonated the package and found nothing suspicious.
Authorities cleared the scene by 1:15 p.m.
Traffic in the area was restricted during the investigation.
NBC 4 first reported three area homes were evacuated, but on-scene authorities said that wasn't the case.
No more immediate information was available.
