CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Ohio State Highway Patrol-Chillicothe Post is investigating an early morning accident that has left one dead.

The crash occurred around 12:50am Thursday on US 23 and mile post 6 in Ross County.
Authorities say 18-year-old Frankie Demint was driving a Honda Accord northbound on US 23 when his vehicle struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, 47-year-old Robert Eblin, was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner’s office.
The cause of the crash has not been determined and is still under investigation. No word whether charges will be filed.
