COLUMBUS, Ohio – Early this year, a home invasion left one brother shot, one dead. Crime Stoppers of Central Ohio asked for your help finding the suspects responsible.
Close to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, three young males entered a home on Fleming Road through an unlocked door.
Once inside, the trio was told to leave the home by Ryan Olverson who lived at the house with this brother, Randy.
The suspects pulled at least one handgun and demanded property from the Olverson brothers. The brothers and the suspects were involved in an altercation that moved into the front yard.
Both brothers were shot by the suspects, authorities said, but Randy was shot fatally.
The suspects are said to be between the ages of 15 and 19 years old. The youngest is described as small and thin. The oldest is said to have braided hair. All were wearing head scarves at the time of the crime.
Crime Stoppers has issued up to a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the persons responsible for this crime. Information must be received by Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009.
