AAA: Ohio Gas Prices Down 3 Cents From Last Week

»  Comments | Post a Comment

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio gasoline prices have slipped three cents from last week following a major slide in oil prices.

A survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express puts the current statewide average for regular-grade gasoline at $2.57 per gallon, down from $2.60 last Monday.

On Friday, troubling economic news from Dubai led to the largest percentage drop in crude oil prices since January. The Middle Eastern emirate asked lenders for a six-month reprieve on payments for about $60 billion in debt.

Gas prices in Ohio are down 10 cents from a month ago, when regular was averaging $2.67. Last year at this time, the state's motorists were paying a much cheaper $1.71 per gallon.
