WORTHINGTON, Ohio – The Buckeye Military Moms will host its biannual community packing party today to send “We Care Boxes” to troops serving overseas.
The event will be held on the lawn of Sharon Memorial Hall in Worthington today from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The organization hopes to send 500 holiday care packages to the troops honorably serving overseas. The last packing party enabled the group to send 427 packages to the troops.
The Buckeye Military Moms, Chapter 9 is a local chapter of Blue Star Mothers of America. The members have active duty sons and daughters in all branches of the military, most currently serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
