COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A credit-card theft and misuse suspect was apprehended Monday after a Central Ohio Crime Stoppers report aired on NBC 4 Today.
Authorities asked for the public’s help to identify the suspect Sunday in a Crime Stoppers special report by NBC 4’s Mike Jackson.
CPD called NBC 4 and said its fraud department received several calls Monday that helped apprehend the suspect.
Authorities said a person’s Master Card was stolen Saturday, June 6, at a North Side Lowe’s store.
The suspect soon used the allegedly stolen credit card at a North Side market and Subway restaurant, police said.
Surveillance video showed a female suspect using the credit card twice in a Columbus-area Giant Eagle during the early morning hours of Sunday, June 7.
The grocery store purchases totaled $354, police said.
