COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police arrested a suspect after a man and a woman were found dead in a near Southeast Side home Saturday night.

CPD arrested 40-year-old William McClanahan at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday at a Lantern Drive home.
CPD responded to an “unknown trouble call” at 1128 Geers Ave. at about 10:35 p.m. Saturday.
Officers arrived at the address and found one male and one female victim dead inside the home.
Medics pronounced the two dead at the scene.
The male victim was identified as 53-year-old John Haile late Sunday.
The female victim was identified as 43-year-old Catherine Brown Thursday.
A police report said both victims suffered multiple injuries.
The autopsies were completed, but authorities were not releasing the results currently.
McClanahan was charged with two counts of murder.
CPD has not released the motive in the two deaths.
