DAYTON, Ohio -- A list is being put together in one Ohio city to keep pizza delivery drivers safely away from vacant houses, many of which were lost to foreclosures.
The joint effort by police and a neighborhood group in Dayton is a response to the beating of a pizza driver who'd gone to a vacant house in late July. Police say 66-year-old Yeung Ng suffered critical head and facial injuries and was left in the house by four assailants, who took his vehicle.
Marc Suda, president of the Five Oaks Neighborhood Association, says the "do not deliver" list now includes about 160 addresses that will be supplied to pizza shops.
