CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati police have concluded that a girl made up a story about being stabbed with a kitchen knife for refusing to give up her lunch.
A Cincinnati police report earlier Thursday said officers were trying to locate an 8-year-old boy who allegedly caused minor injuries to another child on an elementary school playground.
Hours later, they said the alleged victim was a girl who had cut her sleeves with scissors in art class and concocted the lunch assault story to cover that up.
Police spokesman Lt. Mark Briede says the case is closed, without any charges.
