ELYRIA, Ohio - The body of a 13-year-old boy has been recovered from the northeast Ohio river he fell into Saturday.
Elyria Fire Chief Richard Benton says divers found the body of Logan Spradlin just after 10:30 Sunday morning in water about 30 feet deep.
The day before, the eighth-grader was playing with a friend when he slipped and went into the Black River in Elyria, 23 miles southwest of Cleveland. Rescuers using sonar searched the river until sunset Saturday, then resumed the effort in the morning.
Lorain County Coroner Dr. Paul Matus has ruled that the cause of death was accidental drowning.
