W.Va. Legislature Joins Facebook, Twitter

CHARLESTON, W.Va.
The West Virginia Legislature has joined the social networking generation.

Legislative Manager Aaron Allred says West Virginians can now track the 134-member Legislature on Facebook and Twitter.

Allred says adopting the two is an effort to more fully use social networking. The Legislature currently operates a Web site that features information about each lawmaker, legislative actions, legislation and other information.

To find the Legislature on Facebook search for West Virginia Legislature.

The address on the microblogging site Twitter is http://twitter.com/wvlegislature.

Both sites are now in operation.
