COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The state Bureau of Workers' Compensation will determine how much a one-time top aide to former Attorney General Marc Dann should pay for attempted workers' compensation fraud.
Paying restitution, being established at a Thursday hearing, is part of a plea deal that Anthony Gutierrez struck in August as jury selection was to begin in his criminal trial. Through the deal, he admitted to six of 10 charges that largely involved his former business, MTV Construction of Youngstown.
Gutierrez was the general services manager in Dann's office and the central figure in a sexual harassment scandal that resulted in Dann's resignation last year. He is the only person involved to face criminal charges.
His criminal sentencing has been rescheduled to Nov. 18.
