COLUMBUS, Ohio— Columbus police released a suspect photo to the public in the case potential victims recognize him.

Officers arrested 21-year-old Jeffrey York Sunday, Oct. 11. York is a suspect in two recent campus crimes and faced aggravated robbery charges.
A male reported being abducted at gunpoint from the area of East 15th Avenue and North High Street at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The victim was forced into a black vehicle and shown a black automatic firearm and a black revolver, police said.
The victim was taken to the city’s East Side and forced to withdraw money with his ATM card, police said. He was released later near South James Road and East Main Street.
CPD Sgt. Shaun Laird said York also was a suspect a second armed robbery that happened early morning Friday, Oct. 9.
Two pedestrians were robbed while walking on South Fourth Street, police said.
Detectives also charged York with a robbery at 1880 Parsons Ave. that happened Tuesday, Sept. 29.
CPD said York might have been involved in other robberies.
CPD’s robbery squad also continued to ask the public for any information pertaining to at least three other suspects who allegedly were in the vehicle with York during the robberies.
