Water Main Break Slows Traffic

The water department is currently on the scene of a water main break north of downtown.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A water main broke north of Downtown Sunday morning.

A water main break could cause traffic problems this morning if you are driving near the area of I-71 and East Hudson Street.

The break happened near the Shell Gas Station on East Hudson Street, but water is reaching homes on Homecroft Drive.

Columbus police blocked the area, and water crews were called to the scene to shutoff the water.

At this time, NBC 4 has not been advised if there is a boil alert in effect.
