COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus fire’s hazmat crew was called out to a state government building Thursday morning.

Columbus fire was called out to the Ohio BMV building at 1970 W. Broad St. at about 8:30 a.m. on reports of a suspicious letter.
White powder was found in a letter in the mailroom, but crews determined the power was not hazardous.
The area was secured for several hours, but the building wasn’t evacuated.
No one was injured.
Columbus fire gave the all-clear before 11:30 a.m.
