COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A judge declared a mistrial Thursday in the case of a man who has been accused of killing two teens in a crash.

Judge Daniel Hogan declared a mistrial in the case against 27-year-old Brian Green Jr.
Green Jr. was charged with three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash that killed two teens in November 2008.
Prosecutors said the incident that led to the triple-fatal crash was started by Green Jr.
Prosecutors said they believe Green Jr., who had a suspended driver's license, was street-racing on Morse Road.
Officials believe Green Jr. was driving the Thunderbird because a witness said a man was hanging outside of the passenger side at the time of the crash. That passenger fit the description of Brian Green Sr.
Nicolette Hymes, 18, was killed when the Ford Thunderbird crossed into her lane and struck her BMW on Morse Road, police said.
Kristen Pressel, whom police said was a back-seat passenger in the Thunderbird, also was killed. Shortly after the crash, there were reports that Pressel was pregnant, but the coroner's report indicated she was not pregnant.
The prosecution called Green Sr. to the stand.
When the prosecution asked Green Sr. how he got along with his son, Green Sr. said, “Good. Bad. On and off since he got out of prison.”
The mistrial was declared because defendants’ prior crimes aren’t to be mentioned unless it’s related to the case. The defense contends Green Sr. was driving the Thunderbird, not Green Jr.
Attorneys were to get together next Monday to set a new trial date.
Green Jr. remained in the Franklin County jail.
