GRANVILLE, Ohio -- Two people were critically injured Thursday in a single-vehicle crash in Licking County.
The crash occurred at 6397 state Route 661 (North Street Road) at about 10:30 a.m.
According to the Granville post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 19-year-old James Wood was traveling southbound in a 2004 Ford Escape when he drove off the left side of the road, swerved back onto the road and drove off the right side, striking a culvert.
The vehicle became airborne and flipped several times before coming to rest in a field on the west side of S.R. 661.
Wood and his passenger, 18-year-old Trevor Landis, were not wearing their seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle.

The roadway was blocked during the investigation and cleanup. It was reopened before 12:30 p.m.
It is unknown if alcohol is a factor and the crash remains under investigation.
