COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police are investigating an early morning fight that led to a shooting.

The incident occurred about 3:00 am Saturday. Columbus Police were called to a home on the 2100 block of Margaret Avenue on a report of a shooting.
The victim in the shooting had been moved from the scene by friends and transported to the Ohio State University Medical Center in serious conditions. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Witnesses told police gunfire erupted after an argument at the location.
The victim was later identified as 23-year-old Marseant Wellman.
Columbus Police continue to investigate the shooting and have not released the names of any suspects at this time.
