CINCINNATI, Ohio -- A coroner has confirmed that human remains found by police investigating an Ohio woman's disappearance are those of the missing woman.
Hamilton County Coroner Dr. O'dell Owens has not released the cause of death for 28-year-old Kristan Strutz.
Her husband reported her missing Aug. 15 and was later charged with tampering with evidence.
John Strutz is being held in jail on a bond of more than $1 million.
A spokesman for Kristan Strutz' family says the coroner's identification was not a surprise.
Family spokesman Larry Emley says the couple's three children are being cared for by family members.
Hamilton County's prosecutor has said that his office is awaiting the results of laboratory tests and expects more indictments against 30-year-old John Strutz.
