COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Authorities are searching for a man who is suspected in connection with an attempted bank robbery near Akron -- and is believed to be in the Columbus area.
According to the FBI and the Cuyahoga Falls and Akron police departments, Lawrence A. Taylor is suspected in the attempted armed robbery of a First Merit Bank in Cuyahoga Falls on Aug. 10.
During the robbery, a female accomplice was arrested by Cuyahoga Falls police at the bank, but the male involved was able to avoid capture.
Authorities said they believe that Taylor may be in the Columbus area because a vehicle used by Taylor was recently found abandoned in Columbus.
Taylor is described as a black male, 29, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 215 pounds.
