COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Authorities were called to the North Linden area early Tuesday on a report of a vehicle into a structure.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Columbus police and fire departments were called to the 1300 block of Oakland Park Avenue shortly after 5:30 a.m. on a report of a car into a garage.
The driver also crashed through a fence, hit a pole and downed some utility wires, according to CPD.
The homeowner said the car just missed his house’s front bedroom, where two family members were sleeping.
La Vaughn Dough Kenney Sr. said it wasn’t the first time a vehicle failed to stop at the intersection.
The homeowner said a vehicle crashed into the home’s kitchen a few years ago. Kenney wasn’t the owner then.
The male driver was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital with a head injury but in stable condition.
No one in the home or garage was injured.
Authorities did not restrict area traffic after the crash.
CPD said the driver will be charged with failure to control his vehicle.
It was unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
