COLUMBUS, Ohio – A reward is issued for tips in connection with a pharmacy robbery on city's the northwest side.
Nearly two weeks ago on Aug. 25, shortly before 10 p.m. a man entered the Walgreen’s pharmacy at the corner of Dublin and Click Roads in the Shawnee Hills Region. Moments later, the suspect pulled a mask over his face and pulled out a dark-colored semi-automatic pistol.
The robber jumped the pharmacy counter, displayed the gun and demanded Oxycontin. After getting the drugs, he escorted an employee at gunpoint to a back office before escaping.
Officials said he fled on foot and should be considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a red or maroon T-shirt with a light-colored long-sleeved shirt underneath, light-colored blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a black baseball cap with a mask underneath.
Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of as much as $2,000 for any information received by Sept. 16, 2009, that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the person(s) responsible for the crime.
