CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that occurred on Saturday night just before 9 p.m. in Chillicothe.
Reports say 83-year-old Mary Cryder of Hallsville was attempting to cross the road to her mailbox and was struck by 38-year old Chad Hardman of Adelphi.
Hardman was traveling eastbound on State Route 180 in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am.
Cryder was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ross County Coroner.
At the time of the press release, no charges were filed. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
