COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The White House released the President Obama's speech to students, one day before the actual address.
You can see the full text of President Obama's speech to American students at http://www.whitehouse.gov/MediaResources/PreparedSchoolRemarks/.
The speech has created controversy nationwide, with some Central Ohio school districts initially refusing to show the speech in school. The event is scheduled for Noon Tuesday.
Dublin City Schools will allow students to watch the speech if they have a note from a parent giving permission.
Hilliard City Schools will also allow students to watch live. Both districts will have alternate activities for students who choose not to watch.
Hilliard parent Jason Ross read the text and says he doesn't see anything wrong with it. He says President Bush probably received similar criticism from Democrats when he spoke to students.
President George H.W. Bush spoke to students live from a Washington, DC school in 1991.
Ebony Johnson says she wants her daughter to watch the speech in her Columbus school. She especially likes the part where the President says, "You'll need the knowledge and problem-solving skills you learn in science and math to cure diseases like cancer and AIDS, and to develop new energy technologies and protect our environment."
Tuesday, the speech will stream live at http://www.whitehouse.gov/live
