COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A motorcyclist was ejected from his motorcycle in a fatal accident early Tuesday morning.

Columbus police said a male was driving his motorcycle eastbound on East 17th Avenue on the city's near North Side.
He apparently failed to stop at the stop sign located at East 17th and Brentnell avenues.
The motorcyclist drove through the intersection, hit a guardrail and was ejected from the motorcycle into a wooded area, according to authorities.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
