COSHOCTON, OHIO – The Coshocton County sheriff’s office is investigating an early morning crash that sent an 18-year-old to the hospital in serious condition.
Just after 3 a.m. Saturday, deputies were dispatched to County Road 410 in Oxford Township.
Clint Couts, 23, of Coshocton and his three passengers were traveling northbound on CR 410 when Couts lost control of the vehicle and drove off the left side of the road into an embankment, authorities said.
The backseat passenger, 18-year-old Courtney Wood was flown to Akron General Medical Center in serious condition.
Two other passengers and Couts were not injured in the crash.
Alcohol was considered to be a factor in the crash, and Couts is being held at the Coshocton County Justice Center pending formal charges.
